My unit shipped out literally right after I purchased it Online. Due to the COVID delays by the USPS I had to sit and wait for it to arrive a tad later than it was supposed to.
Upon receipt I was pleased with the contents of the box. Unit, controllers, controller wires and the most important of the bunch, the instructions. Setup was completed in under 5 minutes.
Now for the juicy details.....
Wow, was I amazed at the on screen menu and amount of games shown. It is a little different seeing them all there on the TV as opposed to a listing Online. Total excitement.
Is it worth buying? Yes
Does it have issues? Yes, but so do all gaming systems
My cons - while browsing the game menus, the scrolling locks and keeps going on its own here and there.
The controllers are a tad wonky and I will be upgrading soon to something else other than what came with the unit.

No friend, I’m here to tell you about my experience after the sale. Months, in fact almost a full year after. I did some digging on the game box hero website one day, because I really wanted to enjoy the machine as I do the majority of the other consoles I own…that is to say from any chair or couch in my living room regardless of distance from wireless controllers. Come to find out there are instructions on how to do exactly that in the FAQ of their website. However, despite following the instructions EXACTLY I was able to move around within the menus of a wireless controller, but once I got to the title screen of the game itself nothing worked! I was frustrated. I sent an email to the company explaining my dilemma, not expecting to hear anything back. If I did, it would be a wild goose hunt or cost me extra money or both. Isn’t that what we’ve come to expect from any company nowadays? To my surprise boy was I wrong. An associate named Mike emailed me back shortly. Would you know, that man worked tirelessly with me for about a week by e-mail day and night to resolve my issue. Step-by-step he told what to do and how to do it. I felt like I was the only customer they had. Bar none it was the best customer service experience I’ve ever had. Mike really cared. I was never changed extra, put on hold, never heard from again, or felt like a number. To me, that experience meant more than the fun I have with the machine itself. I’m a disabled veteran and this little machine takes my mind off pain and other things helping to get through the day. But Mike and those that work for this company care about people. And that matters more.

A.Remember Game Genie? Game cheats give you the option to turn on/off special abilities.  Some examples would be unlimited lives, extra high jumping, skip levels, etc.  The options vary per system.  Some cheats can have adverse effects but you can easily disable them should that occur.  Not all systems or games offer cheats.

Q.Can I use different controllers?
A.Yes, you can use many wired (usb) or wireless controllers. With how we mapped the buttons the included controllers work with the vast majority of games. Should you encounter a time where they don’t you can always buy a specific system controller for usually around $15 on amazon. We can send you links to compatible ones. If you happen to have ps3/4 bluetooth or wired controllers those can be easily paired and work fine with this too. Xbox one and xbox 360 controllers work too (xbox 360 need to plug in wireless receiver). Switch pro controllers work also. Ps5 controllers only work via usb cable. Here’s the instructions if you wish to use different controllers https://gameboxhero.com/adding-controllers/
