My unit shipped out literally right after I purchased it Online. Due to the COVID delays by the USPS I had to sit and wait for it to arrive a tad later than it was supposed to.
Upon receipt I was pleased with the contents of the box. Unit, controllers, controller wires and the most important of the bunch, the instructions. Setup was completed in under 5 minutes.
Now for the juicy details.....
Wow, was I amazed at the on screen menu and amount of games shown. It is a little different seeing them all there on the TV as opposed to a listing Online. Total excitement.
Is it worth buying? Yes
Does it have issues? Yes, but so do all gaming systems
My cons - while browsing the game menus, the scrolling locks and keeps going on its own here and there.
The controllers are a tad wonky and I will be upgrading soon to something else other than what came with the unit.
Pros - tons of games. And I mean tons! You will find things you never knew existed.
Loads fast. No real waiting for the game to start.
Takes up no space on a TV stand.
Very user friendly menu.

However, my review isn’t to sell you on the machine. If you want that there is more than enough content and testimonials for you to skim through on others individuals who have left reviews. No friend, I’m here to tell you about my experience after the sale. Months, in fact almost a full year after. I did some digging on the game box hero website one day, because I really wanted to enjoy the machine as I do the majority of the other consoles I own…that is to say from any chair or couch in my living room regardless of distance from wireless controllers. Come to find out there are instructions on how to do exactly that in the FAQ of their website. However, despite following the instructions EXACTLY I was able to move around within the menus of a wireless controller, but once I got to the title screen of the game itself nothing worked! I was frustrated. I sent an email to the company explaining my dilemma, not expecting to hear anything back. If I did, it would be a wild goose hunt or cost me extra money or both. Isn’t that what we’ve come to expect from any company nowadays? To my surprise boy was I wrong. An associate named Mike emailed me back shortly. Would you know, that man worked tirelessly with me for about a week by e-mail day and night to resolve my issue. Step-by-step he told what to do and how to do it. I felt like I was the only customer they had. Bar none it was the best customer service experience I’ve ever had. Mike really cared. I was never changed extra, put on hold, never heard from again, or felt like a number. To me, that experience meant more than the fun I have with the machine itself. I’m a disabled veteran and this little machine takes my mind off pain and other things helping to get through the day. But Mike and those that work for this company care about people. And that matters more.

Shipped with everything promised. Only took a few minutes to set up and when I turned it on, it was like being transported back to when I got my C64, NES and Super Nintendo ... I probably spent an hour just going through the massive library of content on the system. Incredibly happy with purchase.

Everything runs great so far and set up was super easy. I recommend it.
As for the games, I'll admit that I'm still unable to get any of the C64 games to play, but the list is also expansive. Many of the systems have the cheat codes already installed, all you've to do is use them. There are a few games I noticed missing which saddened me (Michael Jackson's MOONWALKER for MAME2003, WWF Superstars for MAME, PONG for MAME2003 and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for N64), but good lord there's enough to keep you busy! One that I had hoped to play was The Nintendo World Championships, but doesn't go past the title screen which makes me wonder if I'm even NES World Champion material like Captain N?!
Overall, I'd say it's worth getting!

Thats it.
This is probably the coolest thing I've ever owned. I'm able to play all my games. They actually save on the system. So you can continue playing. Or if the game does not have a save. Option you can save your slate. And pick it back up where you left off.
I was a little skeptical at first but after receiving it I was shocked and amazed at how amazing it is.

You will find so many of the games you loved to play as a kid and get to play them again as an adult or play them with your kids. The controllers are not the crappy cheap controllers you might find online but quality controllers that will hold up over time. I doubt I will ever have the desire to buy another retro system from a box store again.

What they show in the unboxing video is exactly what you get and really is amazing.
There is more here then meets the eye whether your tech savvy or not there’s so much packed into this gameboxhero it’s almost impossible to stop playing it.
When you see this load up you will realize how much those mini consoles everybody is paying the same price for is a huge rip off for only 30 games!!!!
It really is a great deal a no brainer to buy this.
